Mersey Valley Golf & Country Club During the last 12 months we have constructed two fishing lakes at Mersey Valley Golf & Country Club. The larger lake has two large islands, with 30 fishing platforms around the perimeter and depths of water ranging from 1 metre to 5 metres. The smaller lake has one island, with 20 fishing platforms and similar depths of water. Both lakes have a 1 metre deep ledge, one metre wide around the perimeter to ensure adequate weed growth, to encourage spawning and of course to act as a safety ledge. Quality Roach, Carp and Perch have been introduced into both lakes and it is proposed to introduce further species as the lakes mature. The lakes are ideally situated close to the Car Park and Clubhouse and are set in beautiful and tranquil surroundings. Membership The fishing club will operate as a Members Only Club, whereby members pay an initial joining fee and an annual subscription and they will have the use of all the bar and catering facilities and are automatically members of Mersey Valley Golf & Country Club. |

The club provides experienced fishermen and beginners with a superb and secure environment in which to enjoy their recreational fishing. Although some competitions will be held for members, the emphasis is very much based on tranquil, recreational fishing. Beginners are welcome to have lessons without any commitment whatever - we hope you get hooked!
